How We Report the Region

Method precedes opinions here. Facts enter print only at common-knowledge precision: figures stable across decades of public sources stand, marginal statistics wait outside. Nobody verifies restaurant curtain colors by phone; consequently no such details get asserted about any named operation. Where this magazine describes businesses categorically, description draws on structural knowledge any visitor can confirm arrival-day.

Restored pages receive an identification cartouche declaring their lineage, capture era and the reasons earlier contents were superseded. Corrections happen upward-facing: errors acknowledged in place, significant reversals noted within the affected entry. Field journals bind us hardest; dated observations stand unretouched even when later weeks embarrass them. Sponsored material, should it ever appear, lives only under explicit labeling rules.
